When our Animal Protection Unit removes animals from neglect or cruelty, the rescue is only the beginning. Many of the animals we bring to safety are underweight, frightened, and in urgent need of medical care and emotional support.

Your gift today will be matched 4X to provide the critical treatment and compassionate care these animals need.

After rescue, our Shelter Medicine Team immediately steps in. They perform emergency exams, address illnesses, and create treatment plans for animals whose bodies have been weakened by deprivation.

But healing is not only physical. Our specialized Behavior Team show frightened animals that people can be trusted. Their work is slow, patient, and essential for animals who have never known safety.

Meanwhile, our Animal Protection Unit continue working behind the scenes. They gather evidence, support prosecutors, and testify in court to help ensure those responsible for cruelty are held accountable.

This critical work depends on people like you… people who care enough to act. Your support powers our team. It is the reason lives are transformed.

Right now, more animals are waiting for our Animal Protection Unit to reach them. With the 4X match, your gift today will deliver the immediate care, behavioral support, and safety they need.

As we continue to deepen our presence in Cobb County, we are excited to take part in the Cobb Community Foundation 2025 Match Magic Grant Program.

We opened our Marietta location at the start of this year, and it is already becoming a meaningful resource for local pets and the people who love them.

Our Marietta location is home to:
– Adoptable cats who meet their future families in calm and welcoming environments
– Our partnership with Dogs for Better Lives, a program that professionally trains and places Service and Assistance Dogs
– Our Pets in Crisis Support Program, offering assistance to families during their hardest moments
– Low-cost vaccine clinics that reduce barriers to essential veterinary care

Our new Crisis Response Center is also in its final stages of construction. This facility will support our Animal Protection Unit and the animals they rescue from cruelty and neglect.

The Match Magic Grant Program gives you the chance to support the work taking place right here in your community and see your impact go even further.

Thank you for helping build a community where families stay together, services grow, and pets have every chance to thrive.

When life falls apart, sometimes the only thing that keeps someone going is the steady presence of their pet. For many in our community, pets are more than companions. They are family, comfort, and hope when everything else feels uncertain.

Our Pets in Crisis Support Program exists to make sure that bond is never broken. It provides safe, temporary care for pets whose families are going through housing instability, domestic violence, or sudden emergencies.

Recently, four families were reunited with their pets through this program in a single weekend. Four animals went home. Four people found comfort again.

Each story is different, but every one of them reminds us how powerful the bond between people and their pets can be.

Blaze’s Story

When Blaze’s owner left an abusive relationship, her only thought was keeping them both safe. Her abuser had begun threatening to harm Blaze. She made the painful decision to leave and start over, asking for help to care for him while she rebuilt her life.

She wrote to us, saying, “I am a veteran and a hard worker. It will not even take me 90 days to have him back, I promise. I do not want to lose him. He’s all I have in this world that is all mine.

And she kept her promise. She found a home, lined up work, and returned for Blaze once she was stable and able to provide everything he needed. During that time, the Pets in Crisis Support Program made sure Blaze was comforted and loved.

When they were reunited, it wasn’t just a happy ending. It was a reminder of why this program matters. Because of your support, Blaze’s owner didn’t have to choose between safety and her beloved dog. She got both.

Sumiko’s Story

A house fire left Sumiko’s owner without a place to live, they were sleeping in her car due to the struggle of finding pet-friendly housing. Through the Pets in Crisis Support Program, Sumiko was cared for while her mom focused on rebuilding her life. That support gave her space to recover from the trauma of losing everything, and the comfort of knowing her pet was safe.

Yang’s Story

After losing her job and home, Yang’s mom was living out of her car. During this time, her biggest concern was for her dog’s well-being while she searched for work. Our program provided a safe place for Yang, allowing his mom to focus on finding stability without fear of losing her best friend.

King’s Story

When a fire displaced King’s family, they lost nearly all of their belongings but never their love for him. With the help of the Pets in Crisis Support Program, King was placed in temporary care until his family found a new home. Their reunion was filled with joy and relief, knowing they could start fresh together.

The Power of Community

When people face crisis, it takes a community to help them find their footing again. The Pets in Crisis Support Program is a reflection of that shared care — neighbors, donors, volunteers, fosters, and staff all coming together to make sure no one has to face hardship alone.

Thank you for being part of our community. You help keep families together.

Zane's Story email 2

After months apart, the moment finally came. Zane’s dad walked through our doors, and Zane’s tail started wagging before he even saw him. Their reunion was pure joy — love overflowing because that had never left.

Through the Pets in Crisis Support Program, Zane had been cared for by a loving foster family until his dad could get back on his feet. He had companionship, playtime, and comfort every day he was apart from the person he loved most.

Today, this reunion represents more than one happy ending. It’s what the generosity of our community make possible. Thank you for believing in what we can make possible.

When Zane’s dad lost everything, he was terrified of losing his best friend too.

Thanks to our Pets in Crisis Support Program and compassionate people like you, Zane was safe, loved, and waiting for the day his dad could come back for him.

While they were apart, Zane found comfort with his foster family and even made a new friend, a playful foster dog brother. They spent their days running and playing, and their evenings curled up on the couch surrounded by love.

That warmth and care helped Zane hold on until the day he could reunited with his dad.

But right now, more pets like Zane are still waiting for their miracle, and you can be the one to make it happen.

Your Giving Tuesday gift today will go 4X as far to give pets like Zane hope, safety, and love when so much else is unknown.

The dogs rescued from this week’s nightmare situation have been receiving their first veterinary checks. It’s clear they had been without food or water for far too long. Their reactions to the simplest things show just how much they’ve endured.

Now, our work to help them heal is only beginning. Each dog needs ongoing medical care, nourishment, and patience to recover from what they’ve survived. Your donation today will be matched to help us provide the care they need.

Bulloch Rescue Email Banner

The rescue is only the beginning. More than 80 animals have been removed from nightmare conditions, and the individuals responsible are being prosecuted.

With your 2x matched gift today, you can help our team provide care for the rescued animals and support our ongoing work with law enforcement to ensure accountability.

Our Animal Protection Unit remains actively involved as cases move forward. We gather evidence, assist prosecutors, and stand ready to testify in court to make sure those responsible are held accountable.

Your support sustains this critical work. It ensures our investigators can respond when animals are in danger, provide care for those rescued, and follow each case through to justice.

Our dedication extends far beyond the day of the rescue. It is an ongoing promise to protect animals and hold abusers accountable. Will you stand with us?

It’s a nightmare situation. More than 50 French Bulldogs and Pekingese are fighting for their lives and your gift will be 2x matched to rescue them.

The floors are covered in feces and urine. Some animals are locked in cramped crates with no food or water. Others are confined to dark rooms and bathrooms, isolated from the rest of the home and the world beyond its walls.

But thanks to your support, our Animal Protection Unit is on site right now rescuing each of these animals. And today, your impact can go even further because a generous donor has stepped up and will match all gifts up to $10,000.

Your donation, 2x matched right now, will provide emergency medical treatment, clean water, safe housing, and nourishment for these animals in crisis.

The animals show clear signs of abuse and injuries, many suffering from severe skin issues, mobility issues, eye diseases, and other ailments. Among them are also mother dogs who have caring for their newborn puppies in these filthy, dangerous conditions.

Please make a gift right now to help these animals receive the care they desperately need.

All donations are being matched, up to $10,000, thanks to The Dante Stephenson Trust.

When Max’s mom reached out to us, she was terrified. After leaving an abusive home, she was working to rebuild her life while facing the painful possibility of losing the one who had helped her survive it — her dog, Max.

“Max is not just a pet; he is my family. He has been my emotional anchor, helping me navigate the darkest moments of my life. I cannot bear the thought of losing him,” she wrote.

The thought of being separated from Max broke her heart, but she had nowhere safe for him to go while she searched for stability. She just needed someone to keep him safe until she could get back on her feet.

Through our Pets in Crisis Support Program, Max was placed in a loving foster home while his mom focused on finding safety and rebuilding her life.

Wolfie:Max Hero

Now, Max and his mom are together again. They’re safe, rebuilding, and starting their next chapter side by side.

Stories like Max’s are made possible by the fosters and supporters who make our Pets in Crisis Support Program a reality. Together, we help families stay together when it matters most.

Karma (Abigail’s Version) 🎵

Chorus (hook)
Sweet like honey, Abigail’s a cat
Purring in your lap ’cause she loves you
Window watcher, little wiggly tail
Softest heart that always comes through

Verse 1
Abigail’s a calico queen
Special little toe you’ve never seen
She takes her time, she plays it cool
But when she loves you, she breaks all the rules

Pre-chorus
She’s not rushing in, she likes her space
But love and patience win the race

Chorus
Sweet like honey, Abigail’s a cat
Curled up close just to stay near you
Gentle spirit, kindness on repeat
Good things come to the ones who wait too

Bridge
Paws on the sill, watching cars roll by
Quiet little shadow always by your side
She’ll bloom in your care, just give her the chance
Abigail is love in a soft slow dance

Final Chorus / Outro
Sweet like honey, Abigail’s a cat
Purring in your lap ’cause she loves you
Good karma’s here, waiting in her eyes
Adopt her now and you’ll never lose
