Overview
Operation Humane is a proactive animal welfare partner protecting animals in need across Georgia. Powered by Atlanta Humane, we safeguard animal lives by building and leading a growing network of trained advocates, local partners, and law enforcement agencies. Our experienced teams respond swiftly to animal cruelty, disaster response, and community crises.
Working side by side with communities, we investigate harm, deliver critical aid, and strengthen the systems animals depend on. Operation Humane connects resources, equips advocates, and ensures no animal stands alone so that every community is safer, stronger, and more prepared.
How
The Atlanta Humane Society launched Operation Humane in 2026 to expand animal protection efforts across Georgia. While Atlanta Humane continues its core work in Atlanta, Operation Humane focuses on increasing support for pets statewide.
As a distinct initiative, Operation Humane allows Atlanta Humane to deepen our local focus while extending our proven expertise, resources, and partnerships to communities throughout the region. Through collaboration with local organizations, law enforcement, and advocates, Operation Humane strengthens systems, responds to urgent needs, and helps ensure no animal, and no community, is left without support.
