The Atlanta Humane Society is a no-kill shelter with a vision to increase animal services and impact more animals in our communities. Our Community Outreach services are focused on helping to keep families together with the belief that every person deserves to have the companionship of a pet.
Connecting our Community to Resources
Each month, our Resource Center receives nearly 1,400 calls from pet owners in need. We work diligently to connect them to the resources and help they need.
Providing Pet Resources to our Community
Last year, we distributed more than 95,000 pounds of pet food to community pet owners and animal welfare organizations in need.
Feeding Pets in Need
Last year, our Community Outreach Team provided 24,461 animals with food during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Making Veterinary Care Accessible
Our affordable Veterinary Center kept their doors open throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and scheduled 4,089 sick and healthy pet visits.
