The Atlanta Humane Society is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt nonprofit (IRS Tax ID# 58-0685900) and the oldest non-religious charitable organization in Atlanta, having been founded in 1873. We are a 3-star Charity Navigator organization and work diligently to be a good steward of your donation.

While many people know us for rescuing animals and adopting them to loving homes, we’re also committed to ensuring that families have access to the care, supplies, and programs that keep their pets healthy and at home.
