In-kind Donation Program
The Atlanta Humane Society receives donated goods from generous individuals and corporate donors. The Community Outreach department takes the donations not used by Atlanta Humane Society shelters and works to give them to our community. Through our Pet Food Referral Agency program, we prioritize supplying pet food to local and accessible human service agencies that support in-need pet owners. To support pet-centered community support programs, shelters, and rescues and to avoid unnecessary donation waste, surplus food and assorted pet supplies are given to Supply Share agencies across the state of Georgia.
Are you a human food pantry or service group?
Our Pet Food Referral Agency program is intended for food pantries, grassroots community efforts, or other public/voluntary organizations providing human support services to families in the Metro Atlanta area. Pets are part of the family, and empowering people to care for their pets has physical, mental, and emotional benefits that keep our communities healthy. Are you an animal shelter or non-profit group?
Our Supply Share program is intended for pet service organizations, shelters, and rescues that provide resources directly to pet owners and/or care for unowned dogs and cats throughout Georgia. Please note: as donation-based programs, inventory of donated pet food and supplies is limited and subject to change.
