There were 50 Shetland Sheepdogs, living in appalling conditions outside in pens and metal crates.

When our team arrived, we quickly assessed the situation and set up a veterinary table in the field.

The owner’s health had declined to the point that she was no longer able to properly care for her animals.

One by one, we carried each dog to the veterinarians where they immediately received medications and a medical exam.

The gorgeous Shelties were covered in fleas and painful matts. They are anemic, suffering from painful tooth decay, and afflicted with skin disease.

We took each of them back to the Atlanta Humane Society and curled them up into soft blankets.

These Shelties have weeks of veterinarian care ahead of them, and they need your help.

Please, consider donating today. To help these Shelties, and the thousands of animals just like them who come into our care every year.
