Cats in shelter environments are quicker to become stressed and, oftentimes, this stress leads to these cats being sicker and requiring longer stays in shelter facilities. Our new Atlanta Animal Center will be built to keep cats healthy and happy until they are adopted.

• Dedicated cat areas, fully separated from dog runs or kennels with noise barriers to minimize sound.
• Cat areas with windows and cat climbing areas to give cat residents the ability to watch birds, squirrels and dragonflies outside.
• Community cat areas that enable cats to exercise and roam in large open spaces.
• Outdoor catios that provide cats in our care with access to safe, enclosed outdoor areas during their stay with us.
