They didn’t know the storm was heading their way, but they could sense the flurry of activities around them.
There was talk of rain and flooding. Wind and damage. Hurricanes and Tropical Storms.
Then, one by one, they were loaded into a van.
They were confused, but somehow, they knew they were safe.
These 20 dogs were carefully driven from Mississippi to Atlanta in the middle of the night. They were looking for new homes in Mississippi, but then Tropical Storm Marco grew and grew, and shifted its path towards them.
Our Disaster Response Team jumped into action, reaching out to our partner shelters and seeing who needed help and how. Now, these 20 dogs are safe from the storm.
