Noella is a sweet, 8-month-old kitten who came to the Atlanta Humane Society when her previous owner could not care for her any longer. When she arrived, our Shelter Medicine Team immediately noticed that she was limping significantly on her back left leg.
Noella’s broken leg turned out to be much worse than we imagined. The break was so severe that the bone nearly protruded through her skin, so we immediately scheduled her for surgery.
Our veterinarians decided to amputate Noella’s broken leg to give her the best possible quality of life. Her surgery was a success thanks to our expert medical staff. She recovered in a loving foster home and adjusted to life on three legs like a champ!
It wasn’t long before Noella’s sweet, soulful eyes caught the attention of a loving family. They searched for the perfect cat to add to their home, and finally found Noella. One day very soon, Noella will spend each day with her wonderful new family, and her life will never be the same!
