When you give to the Atlanta Humane Society on Giving Tuesday, your gift will be tripled! In honor of Lilly and Tobin, a generous supporter will be matching your gift up to $20,000 when you give before midnight on Giving Tuesday, November 30.
Your support will help animals like:
Will, who arrived at our shelter a few days ago. We were shocked at his condition. Extremely emaciated and heartworm positive, Will has almost no energy in his body and his lungs are in poor condition.
Will is a fighter and his bloodwork looks good, so our Shelter Medicine Team is providing him all they can to help him beat the odds, and your support today will give him the care he needs to build up strength and overcome his illness.
And while we don’t know if Will is going to survive, we know this loving boy deserves a chance.
Hope, who has one of the largest hearts our Shelter Medicine Team has ever seen. The culprit? Extremely advanced heartworm disease.
While heartworm disease is completely preventable, Hope’s illness is now so advanced that treatment is no longer even an option for her. We’re heartbroken, but our team is working to ensure that Hope has as many good days as possible. She’s been started on medication to help her heart work better and is currently living with a hospice foster.
Kacee, whose whole body was trembling. Little Kacee had barely any hair on her tiny, 3-pound body, and she was scared. She found herself in an overcrowded rural shelter at only 9 weeks old, and the shelter simply did not have the resources to care for her.
We welcomed Kacee with open arms, and we’re asking for your support so we can offer that same loving embrace to many more animals in need.
