Benni’s mom was facing an impossible situation.
She had just moved to Georgia from out of state and was staying in short-term rentals that didn’t allow pets. Then she got the call no one wants to get—her mother’s health was rapidly declining, and she needed to get to New York immediately to support her through end-of-life care.
With nowhere safe for Benni to stay and no time to waste, she turned to us for help.
Through our Pets in Crisis Support program, Benni was placed in a temporary foster home where he was loved and cared for while his mom was away. Knowing Benni was safe allowed her to focus on being there for her family during an incredibly difficult time.
Now, Benni’s mom has returned to Georgia and the two have been reunited.
Support like this is only possible because fosters open their homes to pets in need. By stepping up, you can help keep pets safe and families together, even through life’s hardest moments.
