When Ace walked into our door, we dropped everything. We couldn’t believe our eyes- a dog so young, playful, and loving nearly starved to death.
With every bone in his body visible, his eyes told us exactly what he needed… love and care.
He was trusting and kind despite the abuse he had endured, and in that moment we were so thankful that he was brought to us.
Our Shelter Medicine Team prescribed him a strictly regimented diet to ensure that he gained weight back in a healthy manner. He wanted to play so badly, but he just didn’t have the strength.
And then, an amazing Atlanta Humane Society foster parent took him home where she gave him lots of love, proper nutrition, and a few extra snacks.
Now, only a few weeks later, Ace is feeling much more himself. He has his energy back, and he has already gained 12 pounds! He still has a ways to go, but Ace is on the road to recovery- all thanks to your help and generous support.
