Welcome to the Atlanta Humane Society!
With the support of friends like you, the Atlanta Humane Society finds homes for dogs and cats and provides services for animals and pet owners in need throughout our community.
We appreciate your support. Together, we are making sure Atlanta’s animals receive the care and love they deserve. On behalf of the dogs and cats we will be able to help, and the families who come to love them, thank you for caring.
For the animals,
Cats and Kittens
All of the wonderful cats and kittens at the Atlanta Humane Society are waiting for their new homes and would love to meet you. Our trained cat adoption counselors will help you choose the right friend to complete your family or be your constant companion. There are lots of adorable kittens and cats to choose from at the Atlanta Humane Society.
Dogs and Puppies
Without a doubt, a loving and friendly dog or puppy can put an instant smile on your face! When you adopt a dog from the Atlanta Humane Society, you gain a wonderful canine companion.
Volunteer or Foster
Join our volunteer team to help animals who need it most. Anyone can connect their compassion with action at the Atlanta Humane Society. We need volunteers for socializing future companions, community engagement, administrative support, fostering animals, and shelter medicine assistance. We offer plenty of opportunities to help animals that work well with your preferences and schedule.
Donate
We do more than connect great pets with families. We take in animals from the community that can no longer be cared for. We open our doors to dogs and puppies rescued from puppy mills. We feed the hungry. We bandage the wounded. We heal the sick. We can’t do anything, though, without your support. Your tax-deductible donation keeps the lights on, the doors open, and so much more.

Thursday, April 3 from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Join us for a pawsitively delightful yoga session featuring puppies! Whether you’re an experienced yogi or a complete beginner, this event promises relaxation, laughter, and plenty of puppy love.

Join us at our new location in Roswell for Dog Day Adventures on the first Saturday of every month!

Virtual Foster Orientation
Sunday, April 6 from 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Foster caregivers provide temporary care for shelter cats, dogs, kittens and puppies in their own homes. Sometimes the animals in need are too young to be adopted.
