Laine Killingsworth is a seasoned professional with more than 14 years in animal welfare. Joining Atlanta Humane Society in 2011 as an Animal Care Specialist, she advanced through the ranks of Animal Care and Operations management before transitioning over to the Business Solutions side, supporting organizational infrastructure. Laine leads a team dedicated to supporting a cohesive infrastructure of IT, systems solutions, project management, fleet, and facilities.

Christina has been with the Atlanta Humane Society since 2016, bringing a deep passion for animal welfare and a strong background in communications to the organization. She holds a Master’s in Nonprofit Communications from the University of the Arts London and a Bachelor’s in Journalism from Loyola University.

At Atlanta Humane, Christina oversees the Resource Center, which answers more than 50,000 calls from the public each year, ensuring pet owners and community members have the support they need. She also leads the Marketing and Communications team, driving a strong brand, dynamic digital presence, and mission-focused strategies that are both creative and data-driven. In addition to supporting Atlanta Humane, Christina drives the marketing and communications strategy for our sister brand, Remedy Vet.

Outside of work, Christina is usually chasing after her squirrel-obsessed pup, Finnegan, or laughing at the antics of her wild feline, Chloe. She loves traveling, hiking, and experimenting with new recipes.

Catrina began her professional career as a sea lion trainer, which allowed her to travel and work at several zoos and aquariums around North America before making a splash at the Georgia Aquarium in 2015, where she assisted in the launch of the brand-new sea lion department. Catrina shifted from sea dogs to land dogs in 2019 and started working at Atlanta Humane on the Marketing Team.

She currently oversees the Giving Team, which is responsible for our door-to-door fundraising. monthly donors, our Guardian’s Circle, fundraising and community engagement events, corporate giving, direct mail, and donor stewardship. Catrina has a great love of all big and fluffy dogs, wine, and diving.
