Atlanta Humane Society fosters care for a variety of animals including young kittens and puppies, pets recovering from illness or injury, and shelter-stressed animals who just need a calm home to decompress. You can support families in crisis by temporarily housing their pets until they can be reunited through our Pets in Crisis Support Program. Lastly, there’s an opportunity to foster service dogs in training through a partnership with Dogs for Better Lives to help prepare them for roles as hearing assistance dogs, autism assistance dogs, or facility dogs.
