I’m writing this today on behalf of Bianca and other animals who need rescuing right now. Too often, the animals who come to us at the Atlanta Humane Society have experienced unspeakable acts of neglect and abuse. Others have been abandoned by careless owners. In some cases, animals are found injured. No matter what the circumstances, we believe, like you do, that all these animals deserve to be rescued and given a second chance to live a happy life… like Bianca.

When Bianca first came to Atlanta Humane, she needed urgent medical care. Limping on her front leg, the gentle dog was clearly suffering. And once our veterinarians examined her, they could see why. Some time ago, Bianca had endured a terrible injury. And someone had neglected to treat it. At just one year old, Bianca had been living with terrible pain for months of her young life. Was it an accident? Was it abuse? We’ll never know. But we do know this: no animal should have to live like this.

After surgery to amputate one of her legs — her only chance for a pain-free life — Bianca finally began to heal. It is only through the compassion and generosity of neighbors like you that we can improve the lives of other animals like Bianca, as well as save those who are neglected and abused.

Our 2020 Fall Fund Drive is underway, and we need your help. We must raise $39,000 by October 31 to continue all our efforts to rescue animals from cruelty and neglect, and improve the lives of all animals through care and education.

Our staff and volunteers worked hard to save Bianca, and I’m happy to report she recovered in a caring foster home where the family fell in love with the sweet pup and adopted Bianca into their family forever.

Please give another suffering animal like Bianca hope with a generous gift.

Remember, you must make your donation to our 2020 Fall Fund Drive deadline by October 31! Thank you in advance for putting your love of animals into action.

With gratitude,
Cal Morgan
President and CEO

P.S. Please know that every gift counts! As a no-kill organization, the Atlanta Humane Society cares for animals as long as it takes to find their forever family. It’s a lot of work, and it can be taxing on our resources, but the animals entrusted into our care deserve it.
