Zeus was seized from his home after being found living in overcrowded conditions with multiple dogs in a small space. His owners cared about their animals, but lacked the resources and education needed to provide proper care. At intake, Zeus weighed just 82 pounds and was suffering from a severe parasite infestation that over the counter treatments had not resolved.

Our Shelter Medicine Team provided the treatment, nutrition, and ongoing monitoring Zeus needed to recover safely. Our Foster Team quickly found a home where Zeus could recover comfortably. Over the following weeks, he steadily gained weight, regained his strength, and grew into a healthy dog weighing 110 pounds.

Today, Zeus is thriving in a loving home with a family ready to give him the care and stability he deserves.

Stories like Zeus’ are only possible because of the support of our community, whose generosity makes lifesaving care and second chances possible for animals who need us most.

Hector was transferred into our care because he was suffering from a leg fracture that required advanced medical treatment.

After thorough examinations and diagnostics with our Shelter Medicine Team, it was determined that the injury had already begun healing improperly, and amputating the leg would give Hector the best long term quality of life. Following surgery, Hector recovered in a foster home where he could stay comfortable and continue healing with individualized care and attention. Today, Hector is thriving in a loving, forever home.

It is only with the support of our community that we’re able to provide advanced medical care for animals like Hector and give shelter partners a place to turn when pets need more than basic treatment. Thank you for being part of that community.

Fin was just a few months old and weighed only 2 pounds when he was found alone in the middle of a road in downtown Atlanta. No siblings or mother were found nearby, and he was brought into our care to receive the support a growing kitten desperately needed.

Once safe with us, Fin was placed in a foster home where he slowly transformed from a frightened kitten into a trusting, affectionate cuddle bug. With patience, care, and time, he learned to feel safe and loved. Today, Fin is thriving in a home of his own.

Every meal, veterinary exam, and night in foster care that helped Fin reach his happy ending was made possible by supporters who believe every animal deserves a chance.
