summer treats hero

Summer is here, and as temperatures rise, it’s important to help your dog stay cool while keeping them mentally engaged. Frozen treats are a simple way to provide enrichment and offer a refreshing snack on hot days, and our favorite one couldn’t be easier to make.

Simply pour unsalted beef broth into an ice cube tray or fun silicone mold, add a green bean, and freeze. That’s it!

Once frozen, your pup has a cool, tasty treat to enjoy. You can also try adding other dog-friendly ingredients like blueberries, carrots, apple slices (without seeds), pumpkin puree, plain Greek yogurt, or small pieces of cooked chicken.

If you’re looking for an even simpler option, plain ice cubes in fun-shaped molds can be just as exciting for many dogs. It’s an easy way to help them cool off while adding a little extra fun to their day.

And as always, introduce new treats in moderation and be sure any ingredients you use are safe for dogs. A little creativity can go a long way in helping your pup stay happy, enriched, and cool all summer long.
