One tiny crate stacked on top of another.
A puppy mill with about 500 – 700 Lhasa Apso’s, Shih Tzus, Chihuahuas and other small breed dogs was discovered by local authorities in South Georgia a few days ago.
The owner voluntarily relinquished the dogs. Numerous rescue groups and humane organizations in Georgia have stepped up to assist with the unusual number of animals found on the property.
Some of these dogs and puppies have arrived at the Atlanta Humane Society Howell Mill Campus. Found stacked in crates, heavily matted, and covered in feces, all of these animals are getting a complete health checkup, appropriate care and most likely… their first walk ever.
Your donation is needed now to help provide veterinary care and to find new, loving homes for each, as quickly as possible.
We can notify you the next time a we have Lhasa Apso’s, Shih Tzus, Chihuahuas and other small breed dogs that are available for adoption. Visit our Pet Alert page.
