Sierra came to us from Houston along with 100 other dogs and cats. These pets were already at the Houston SPCA prior to the hurricane, and by transporting them into our care, we’re enabling space to be freed up in the shelter there for lost and displaced animals so that they can be reunited with their families.
Your donation right now will help the Atlanta Humane Society as we deploy to Houston, help with the relief efforts there, and care for the animals across the Southeast.
But Sierra is heartworm positive and only has three legs. Our Shelter Medicine Team carefully examined her and placed her into a warm bed.
She will need some specialized treatment and lots of loving care, but we’re here for her.
