Roo ‘s babies were lucky to grow up in a foster home and recently, they had their final vet check with our Shelter Medicine Team before heading off to their forever homes. Thanks to our community, Roo’s babies now get the happy endings they deserve.

When we first met Roo, she was doing everything she could to keep her puppies safe in the middle of a heartbreaking situation.
Now, because of the compassion of our community, Roo and her puppies are comfortable in a loving foster home. They have warm beds, nourishing food, and the medical care they desperately needed. For the first time in her life, Roo can truly relax knowing she and her puppies are safe.
Yesterday, we stepped into a heartbreaking scene in North Georgia. Thirty-two dogs were trapped in filth, scared, and facing unimaginable neglect.
Among them was Roo, a brave mother who was doing everything she could to protect her seven tiny puppies. She had nothing — no clean water, no safe place to rest — just her instincts and the will to keep her babies alive.
