The moment we pulled up we could hear them barking. There were nine puppies living outside in a small, muddy pen, and we were taking them into our care.
The puppies were scared and emaciated. Their owner was no longer able to care for all her dogs, so she took action and gave us a call. We loaded them into our van and took them back to AHS.
We gave all nine puppies thorough examinations, and gave them their first baths ever! We were so proud of how patient they were.
Finally, the puppies were ready to find their forever homes. Several have already been adopted, but a few still need homes!
