Petey came to us from our friends at Dekalb County Animal Services with a devastating injury to his leg, and we immediately knew we had to help.
After a thorough examination, our Shelter Medicine Team discovered that Petey had a cracked femoral head, which meant he would need an expensive and specialized orthopedic surgery.
Your support allowed us to offer Petey the x-rays, orthopedic surgery, and extensive follow-up care he needed in order to live a long, happy life.
Petey’s surgery went very well… so well that he was up walking on his newly repaired leg the very same day! After several weeks of post-operative care, Petey is available for adoption and ready to find his forever home!
