When 3-month-old Maisey arrived at the Atlanta Humane Society, she was terrified and shaking from head to toe. In her short little life, she’d been through a lot, and she wasn’t feeling well.
Our Shelter Medicine Team examined her and quickly found that she had a severe heart murmur. We immediately scheduled her for an echocardiogram with a cardiologist where she was diagnosed with pulmonic stenosis, which means that her heart is not able to pump enough blood, and she will likely need surgery to correct this life-threatening condition.
While she waits to find out for sure that she needs surgery, little Maisey is hanging out in a loving AHS foster home where she is building her confidence and being showered with love. All she wants is to run and play like a normal puppy, but right now, her little heart limits what her body can do and she tires extremely easily.
Your support helped Little Maisey find a forever home where she would be comfortable and loved ahead of any potential surgery she may need in her future.
We are so grateful for friends and supporters like you!
