The door opened and… We could see him, but he couldn’t see us.

Joel’s whole body was matted, and his face was tangled with painful burrs that were making it difficult for him to see. He needed immediate care.

Our Shelter Medicine Team carefully groomed Joel and cleaned his infected ears and dirty teeth. After surgery, he received what might have been his first bath ever, and we could literally see the stains of his past wash down the drain.

Thanks to the expert care of our staff and the loving support of caring donors, Joel is a whole new dog. 

After only a few hours on the adoption floor, Joel was scooped up by his new family, and it was love at first sight.
