Grant has Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a cognitive disorder that causes him to be a bit wobbly.
But Grant doesn’t know that, he thinks just like any other kitten (because he is!), and he absolutely loves to play. We even bought him his very own playpen that he could hang out in while he was in our care.
Grant needed a very special adopter. Someone who would be patient with him and help make sure he stayed safe even when his whole world was a bit tipsy.
And then Grant met Emma. Emma is a musical therapist who works with children who have developmental disorders – just like Grant. She knew she had to have him, spent the entire night doing research on his condition, and when we opened our doors at noon, Emma rushed in to adopt him.
She told Grant he didn’t know how much he was going to be spoiled him and that she loved him already. She’s planning on sharing Grant’s story with her patients to inspire them, just like Grant inspires her.
