Gabe was found as an extremely emaciated stray by Fulton County Animal Services. While in their care, Gabe struggled to keep food and water down, so they transferred him to the Atlanta Humane Society for help.

Once he was transferred, our team ran careful observations on Gabe to ensure he didn’t have a blockage that prevented his body from processing food and getting the vital nutrients he needed to be healthy.

Thankfully, no blockages were discovered. We began offering Gabe yummy, easily palatable food that he was excited to eat, and he began improving day by day.

Today, Gabe is in a loving foster home, where he’s on a strict feeding schedule to help him gain weight in a healthy way. We hope it won’t be long before he’s feeling like himself again. Gabe is a fighter and although he wasn’t treated well before arriving in our care, his days of being an emaciated stray are over. Now, he’ll never know anything but love.
