We’re excited to share an important milestone for animal welfare in Georgia. The Atlanta Humane Society has received a $2.5 million grant from the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation to support a transformative statewide initiative that enhances animal protection, disaster response, and community outreach across all 159 Georgia counties.

This funding marks a major advancement in our mission and will allow us to:

  • Add 150 new housing units for emergency sheltering during disasters and cruelty cases
  • Expand cruelty investigations and disaster response coalitions into Georgia’s 61 underserved counties
  • Deliver critical resources—including veterinary care, pet food, and training—to shelters, rescues, and pet families across the state

This partnership strengthens our ability to act faster, respond smarter, and support communities more deeply than ever before.

We’re grateful for the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation’s visionary investment in a more compassionate Georgia, and for your continued support as we lead this statewide movement forward.
