Adoption fees waived for nearly 200 animals at the Atlanta Humane Society

It’s a beautiful fall weekend to adopt a new furry friend, and the Atlanta Humane Society is celebrating by waiving the adoption fees for nearly 200 animals who are currently looking for homes.

From Friday, September 23 through Sunday, September 25, the Atlanta Humane Society is waiving adoption fees for all dogs and cats over 6 months of age. Adoptions include age-appropriate vaccinations, behavior evaluation, sterilization, a bag of Purina pet food, and a free veterinary exam at a local VCA hospital.

“Recently, the Atlanta Humane Society has seen an influx of need from the animals in the Southeast. We’ve been able to step in and bring these animals into our facilities to provide them veterinary care and support, but now we’re seeking the community’s help in finding them homes,” said Tara High, VP of Operations. “We have hundreds of dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes in our care right now who adoption fees are waived just like Buddy and Dawn.”

You can view all animals up for adoption at atlantahumane.org/adopt. Adoption fees for all dogs and cats over 6 months of age will be waived at both Atlanta Humane Society Campuses from Friday, September 23- Sunday September 25. AHS’ regular adoption policies and procedures apply.
