Cooper lived in a crate for the majority of his puppy-hood. Fortunately, he was surrendered to the Atlanta Humane Society where he could get the support needed for his anxious behavior. He entered our Champion Program where he worked closely with our behavioral specialists. Cooper started with high anxiety, some noise sensitivity, destructive behavior, and excessive mouthing. He was unable to settle in a home, often running around the house for hours and unable to settle. However, Cooper was also very affectionate with people, and was friendly and playful towards other dogs.

After training through our Champion Program, Cooper is now fully able to settle in the home and often seeks out a quiet room to nap at his foster house. He loves going on walks and absolutely loves his foster sister, they play and cuddle often. He is quick to befriend strangers as well as other dogs.

Now, Cooper is looking for his forever home where he can share his unconditional love and companionship. His ideal home will be with another dog that he can learn from and have as his best friend and playmate. If you think you Cooper would make a perfect match as a new member of your family he qualifies for our Foster First program, which means you can foster him for 14 days prior to adoption to ensure he is the right fit!
