Update: Friday, April 17, 2026

Earlier this week, Edmond continued receiving care at an emergency veterinary clinic, where we’ve been learning more about the extent of what his body has been through. In addition to his visible wounds, imaging revealed a fracture in one of his toes along with significant soft tissue injuries. He is also being closely monitored for potential underlying respiratory issues.
The good news is that Edmond is stable, and the team is already seeing meaningful improvement. He has now transitioned into the care of our Shelter Medicine Team, where he will continue his recovery and receive the ongoing support he needs.
Update: Wednesday, April 8, 2026

Edmond was just one of the 14 dogs abandoned on a property and rescued by our Operation Humane team yesterday.
He was rushed directly to an overnight veterinary clinic because he has a gunshot wound and multiple bite wounds that had been left untreated. Starving and dehydrated, his body simply couldn’t fight off the infection any longer.
Now, we are making sure he, and all of the other dogs, get everything they need to have a fighting chance. But we need your support too.
Edmond’s care is urgent. It is intensive. And it is only possible because people like you believe that every animals deserves care.
When you give today, your gift will be tripled to help cover emergency treatment and ensure we can continue fighting for every dog. Please, don’t wait. Give now and help us put up a fight for Edmond while your impact is 3X matched.

Our Operation Humane team is on the ground right now, rescuing 14 dogs from an abandoned property in South Georgia. And when you give today, your gift will be 3X matched to support the continued care these animals need.
They were left behind when their owner moved away. No food… no clean water… no care… living among piles of trash inside and outside a home and trailer, searching for scraps and shelter in filth.
Many of these dogs are sick. Some are injured. One is suffering from an untreated gunshot wound that’s become infected. All of them are starving and have gone far too long without help. But together, we can change that.
You are the reason these dogs won’t be alone any longer. We knew we could count on you to help.
They are on their way to Atlanta right now so we can provide the care they need to survive. And when you give today, your gift will be tripled to support this work and give these dogs the second chance they so desperately need.
They cannot wait. Please, give now while your impact is tripled and help make sure every one of these dogs gets the medical care and support they urgently need.
