The Atlanta Humane Society and Norred & Associates seek justice for Sassy
Just a day before Christmas, Sassy, a 12-year-old Pit Bull mix, was shot in the stomach. She then dragged herself back to her family’s porch where she laid down and died.
The family has been seeking information and the Pike County Sheriff Department has been investigating the case with no leads thus far. In the hopes of bringing about a lead, and justice to Sassy and her family, the Atlanta Humane Society and Norred & Associates have partnered to offer a $5,000 reward for information leading to the successful apprehension, prosecution and conviction of the responsible perpetrator(s).
“This is a horrendous act of animal cruelty and it will not be tolerated in our community,” said Cal Morgan, President and CEO of the Atlanta Humane Society. “The person or persons who committed this act need to face the consequences for their actions, and the Atlanta Humane Society is dedicated to seeking justice for Sassy and her family.”
