2 of the 32 Dogs Removed from Neglect

Yesterday, there were 32 dogs living in horrendous conditions. Laying in their own filth. Suffering and in pain, with no help nearby.

But, this morning, these Maltese, Cocker Spaniel, and Chihuahua mixes are feeling love and being cared for by the Atlanta Humane Society.

A concern was raised, and the dogs were swiftly removed from the neglect situation they were living in, and our Animal Protection Unit worked closely with Macon-Bibb to bring them to the Atlanta Humane Society.

Their lives have taken a drastic turn, but they still have a long road of recovery ahead of them.

The Atlanta Humane Society’s Animal Protection Unit is newly formed and works with law enforcement and animal control agencies across Georgia. This unit also focuses on legislative work, advocacy and training. Rural areas often lack animal welfare resources, and we’re proud to partner with these regions to help animals across our state.
