Storm’s beautiful tiger brindle coat and lovely brown eyes are sure to draw you in, and her sweet personality and stunning smile will make you stay.

Dog on porch

Storm spent her time with us in a loving AHS foster home and was quick to learn some basic commands such as “sit,” “lay down,” and “shake.” Her foster dad worked with her closely alongside our Behavior Team on redirecting her energy and helping her to calm down before she became overstimulated.

While she loves people, Storm does not enjoy the company of other dogs so we had to find that perfect home for her with an experienced owner who could ensure she stays safe and is properly distracted if she sees another dog while out on a walk.

Our team, and her foster parent, worked closely and patiently with Sandy for months to help reduce her reactivity to other dogs and help her become the best dog possible. Slowly but surely she became calmer, more focused, and less frustrated. Sandy became a better-behaved dog, and because of that, was more appealing to adopters, and happier herself. And the hard work, from all sides, payed off when Sandy landed herself the perfect home to call her own.
