Today, our Animal Protection Unit brought 40 severely neglected dogs to Atlanta from a puppy mill situation in south Georgia. All 40 animals will need extensive medical evaluation and care, and many are matted head-to-toe and suffering from heartworm disease and other illnesses.
The dogs range in age from 7 months to twelve years, and most of them have never known love in their lives. Despite all they have been through, all these dogs want is to be loved. Over the next few days, each one will be medically evaluated, treated, and given all the love and care they need to thrive before finding their forever homes in Atlanta.
But they still have a long way to go, and your help is urgently needed.
