Rosie came to AHS from a transfer partner with a pre-existing leg fracture that appeared like it had not been treated properly. Our veterinarians did x-rays on her leg, and decided to see if the fracture would heal on its own with some rest. Otherwise, they knew they’d have to amputate.

Rosie spent three weeks in a foster home, under strict cage rest and with a lot of lap cuddles, Rosie began walking normally and playing again without any pain. As Rosie grows, her left rear leg may end up slightly shorter than the right rear leg, creating a slight abnormality to the gait, but because of your support, Rosie was able to be transferred into our care and receive the love she deserves.

Rosie is now living with a loving family, but you can support second chances for other puppies just like her right now.
