ADOPT A PET FROM THE ATLANTA HUMANE SOCIETY

There are many dogs and cats at the Atlanta Humane Society who are waiting for their forever homes. When you adopt a pet from the Atlanta Humane Society, you have the opportunity to provide a wonderful animal with a safe shelter and a loving environment. Whether you have questions about pet ownership or need help choosing the right companion, our pet adoption counselors are here each and every day to assist you.

At Atlanta Humane Society, we adopt more than 10,000 dogs and cats a year from our Howell Mill and new Mansell campuses. Every week we highlight our Pet of the Week and host mobile adoptions on most Saturday’s at a variety of locations city-wide, including pet supply stores, AHS venues and community festivals.

If you are ready to adopt a pet, please review our adoption process online or come and meet one of our adoption counselors. To learn firsthand about many of the amazing dogs and cats that have been adopted, please read our success stories here.

You can save a life—adopt a pet from the Atlanta Humane Society today!

Now, go look for your new pet! Please pick cats or dogs from the above “Adopt” drop down menu.

DID YOU KNOW?

We will adopt out 10,000 dogs and cats this year! Our goal is to find loving, forever homes for as many dogs (and puppies) and cats (and kittens) as possible. We have more than doubled our adoptions with the addition of the Mansell Campus.
