Ace is a happy-go-lucky guy in need of a forever home!
This handsome boy loves to run around and be silly. You’ll find him looking for people to cuddle with and seeking out attention to show off how cute he is. One of his favorite things is being petted!
Ace is also very strong and athletic, so he’s looking for a family who can give him lots of exercise and keep him ‘on the go.’ During walks, he remains focused on his handler and doesn’t get distracted by nearby dogs or people passing by him. He just wants to sniff everything! And when your life gets busy, Ace can keep himself entertained with his toys.
Ace is very smart and enjoys mental stimulation. Because he’s so clever, he needs to keep his brain active. He’s been doing great with the training we’ve provided him during his time with us and he already knows some basic manners, but he’d love to learn more with you. He’s crate trained, almost always potties outside, and will catch on quickly to whatever else you want him to learn. We recommend that his new family stays dedicated to a training program for him.
If you already have a dog in your family, Ace would love to meet them! He really enjoys spending time with other dogs, so he would love a dog sibling or the opportunity to socialize with others. Any dogs that he interacts with should be able to match his high energy so that lots of fun can be had! And because of this high energy, Ace should not live with small children or cats.
Ace is currently at our West Midtown location and available for our Foster First Program, which allows you to take him home for 14 days prior to adoption to ensure he’s a good fit for your family.

When little Gremlin came into our care with fur so matted that it was cutting off the circulation in her leg, our donors ensured that our team could jump into action to help her.
We’re so happy to report that little Gremlin made it through her amputation surgery and is recovering well. While our team has been showering her with plenty of love and attention to help keep her spirits high, we’ve also learned that this little lady is very resilient.
Gremlin’s healing journey will likely be a long one. A surgery like this can be difficult for a senior dog, but our team is dedicated to keeping her comfortable, helping her heal, and being there for her as she adapts to her new life on three legs.

Gremlin‘s story is a difficult one to share. This tiny, senior dog was found as a stray and just transferred into our care. When our Shelter Medicine Team laid eyes on her for the first time, they immediately jumped into action.
Gremlin is covered in thick, matted fur and has a foul-smelling bandage around one of her front paws. When our team attempted to remove the bandage, they found that the tight mats were cutting off circulation in her paw and causing the tissue to become necrotic. Our team has been unable to remove the bandage because the injury is so severe, and they are now prepping her for amputation surgery.

Flex is a total goofball who is looking for his forever home!
With energy to spare, Flex likes to keep busy with food toys, enrichment activities, and long walks where he can sniff around. He’s also good with most dogs, but he does have a big play style. His ideal home is one with another high-energy dog–they’ll both have a blast!
When Flex is tuckered out, he adores cuddling and giving his people kisses.

Rhonda is a social lady looking to meet new people, make friends, and find her forever family! She loves sitting next to people and letting them pet her, and will jump into your lap for cuddles when invited. She also loves playing with her toys. Her favorite game is “keep away,” where she’ll grab a toy, run up to you like she’s going to give it to you, and then trick you and quickly run away. She’s so fun to play with!
Rhonda is a two-year-old mix of terrier, pit bull, basset hound, and a whole bunch of sweetness. She’s housebroken and does great when she’s left home alone. She doesn’t have any experience with other dogs, but our adoption counselors can help arrange a meet and greet with any current canines in your home.

Roxie is a great house greeter and will show everyone—visitors and returning family members alike—a happy face and wiggly body while she runs circles in pure joy. She’s very smart, loves car rides and walks, and has nice leash manners.
