Abigail

Abigail was rescued from a cruel and neglectful situation in northeast Georgia. She and 77 other dogs had lived their whole lives in squalor with dirty water, little food and without much needed medical care. Sweet Abigail was covered head to toe in itchy mange. Her skin was bright red and inflamed, her face and neck covered in scabs, and her feet swollen and tender from the infection.

The only thing that kept Abigail alive was hope.

Despite her heartbreaking medical condition, all Abigail wanted was to be loved. Thanks to your support, we were able to give her soothing baths, antibiotics to fight the infection and medication to help her hair grow back. Plus, lots of hugs and the love she so badly wanted.

She was placed in a caring foster home to heal. Then, with her impish personality, Abigail was soon spotted by her forever family, who came to take this special pup home.

Your support today cares for animals like Abigail. It provides them a soft place to rest and needed medical care so that they can heal. Without your support, these animals would have nowhere to go, nowhere to heal, no one fighting for them.

Especially as we enter this spring season, there are so many puppies and kittens who need our help.

A gift of any amount will go twice as far to make a lifesaving difference for suffering animals like Abigail and the hundreds more kittens and puppies who need our help and care.

The HOPE we give them is free, but . . .

The shelter, veterinary services, medical supplies and other essential items require significant funding. We urgently need your support to ensure we can continue our work on behalf of homeless and helpless animals. And right now, your support can save even more lives. Generous contributions from the AHS Guardians Circle will match all gifts received up to $300,000 by April 30.

Stories like Abigail’s are proof of what we can accomplish with the help of caring friends like you. And it’s inspiring. You can save homeless, neglected and abused animals.

Please rescue animals from cruelty and suffering. Your support will bring joy to the families who adopt them and make our entire community a better, more compassionate place.

For the animals,

Cal Morgan
President and CEO
