Honey was brought to the Atlanta Humane Society by a kind citizen who found him lying helplessly on the street. When he arrived, he was meowing in intense pain, and we could immediately tell that he wasn’t able to use his back legs.
He had wounds all over his body, and his paw pads were burned raw. We immediately administered vital fluids, pain medication, and critical nutrition food to comfort him through the night.
X-rays revealed that one of his back legs is shattered and the other is severely broken. He also has nerve damage, and it will take time to understand the full extent of his injuries- meanwhile, our Shelter Medicine Team is working diligently to ease his pain.
