DESCRIPTION:When you give today\, your tax-deductible donation – up to $250\,000 – will be doubled by the Charles and Virginia Bagley Fund at the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta to help end animal neglect. \nPenny was just 10 days old when she was repeatedly tossed into the air and dropped by some children. When an Animal Control Officer intervened and brought her to us for medical care\, we worried that she was too young and fragile to survive. \nPenny struggled to hold her head up\, and our Shelter Medicine Team feared that she might have swelling in her brain. They immediately fitted her with a tiny neck brace and placed her in an oxygen box to get her body the oxygen it needed. \nPenny fought hard and made it through those first critical days. Today\, she’s recovering in a loving foster home\, and it’s all because of our donors. \nYour donation will be doubled today.

These fosters will enable us to take in more animals in need and directly impact our collective ability to find more animals homes. \nI’m in! How do I sign up?\nIf you’re interested in becoming a foster caregiver at the Atlanta Humane Society\, your first step is signing up for a new foster orientation session! During this orientation\, we will talk about what to expect when you are a foster and provide you with all the information you need to be a successful advocate for the animals through fostering.
