DESCRIPTION:Foster caregivers provide temporary care for shelter cats\, dogs\, kittens and puppies in their own homes. While we need fosters of all kinds\, we are urgently seeking fosters who can and are willing to facilitate meet and greets with potential adopters for their foster animal. These fosters will enable us to take in more animals in need and directly impact our collective ability to find more animals homes. \nI’m in! How do I sign up? \nIf you’re interested in becoming a foster caregiver at the Atlanta Humane Society\, your first step is this New Foster Orientation! During this orientation\, we will talk about what to expect when you are a foster and provide you with all the information you need to be a successful advocate for the animals through fostering. After the orientation\, we will set up a virtual home check with you as required by the Department of Agriculture. \nOnce you’re formally a foster caregiver for the Atlanta Humane Society\, you’ll receive access to our Foster Board that is updated daily to show you the animals currently in available for foster. You then are able to choose which animal you’d like to foster. \nThe Atlanta Humane Society will provide you with everything you need to foster the animal you’ve chosen including food\, toys\, and medical support. \nClick here to register for the virtual foster orientation.

DESCRIPTION:Foster caregivers provide temporary care for shelter cats\, dogs\, kittens and puppies in their own homes. While we need fosters of all kinds\, we are urgently seeking fosters who can and are willing to facilitate meet and greets with potential adopters for their foster animal. These fosters will enable us to take in more animals in need and directly impact our collective ability to find more animals homes. \nI’m in! How do I sign up? \nIf you’re interested in becoming a foster caregiver at the Atlanta Humane Society\, your first step is this New Foster Orientation! During this orientation\, we will talk about what to expect when you are a foster and provide you with all the information you need to be a successful advocate for the animals through fostering. After the orientation\, we will set up a virtual home check with you as required by the Department of Agriculture. \nOnce you’re formally a foster caregiver for the Atlanta Humane Society\, you’ll receive access to our Foster Board that is updated daily to show you the animals currently in available for foster.
