ATLANTA HUMANE SOCIETY’s 23rd ANNUAL PET PARADE
Join us at Atlantic Station on Saturday, April 13, 2013 for Atlanta’s biggest parade of pets!
Rain or shine, every spring, our annual Pet Parade is guaranteed to take place and put a smile on your face! Each year, thousands of dogs and their owners hit the trails of Atlantic Station, walking to help us generate awareness in the community and support fundraising for animal shelters. One of our biggest fundraisers, the Pet Parade helps raise money for our shelter and animals. On average, it costs our shelter approximately $300 to find a loving home for one of our dogs or cats, which is why we encourage each individual walker to raise that amount as a minimum. Think about it this way — for every $300 you raise, you’ve helped an animal find a loving family! Fundraising for animal shelters ensures the placement of a homeless animal, and continued care for other needy pets. Plus, for those participants who raise money, we give away great prizes!
On the day of the Pet Parade, registration will begin at 9:00 a.m., with the Opening Ceremony starting at 10:45 a.m. At 11:00 a.m., walkers begin navigating the course, and festivities conclude by 1:00 p.m.
INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP FUNDRAISING FOR ANIMAL SHELTERS!
Do you have friends who also want to participate in the Pet Parade? Well, join up with a group and organize a team to walk and achieve a greater level of fundraising. Animal shelters can greatly benefit from the support that your group provides by teaming up to raise money!
To learn more about advanced registration or fundraising opportunities, please read the AHS Pet Parade Registration information.
We also invite local vendors and corporate sponsors to get in on the action! Atlantic Station provides you with added exposure, and allows you to reach a larger audience. For additional information on the Pet Parade, please visit www.AtlantaPetParade.org.
