Birdie arrived at the Atlanta Humane Society just a few days ago from Fulton County Animal Services. She was covered in painful lesions, and her skin was swollen, itchy, and inflamed.

Our Shelter Medicine Team and Foster Coordinator got straight to work healing poor Birdie’s skin and finding her a comfortable home to rest in. She went straight to her foster home after receiving a soothing medicated bath, treatment for her skin, and a thorough examination.
At only 5 months old, Birdie has endured terrible trauma, but she is still happy, friendly, and curious. She still has a lot to learn about being a dog, but she is receiving all of the love and attention she could possibly need.
