1873 SOCIETY CLUB

In October 2009, the Atlanta Humane Society Board of Directors created a junior board, the 1873 Society Club, comprised of young professionals and philanthropists devoted to raising awareness and funds to support the mission of the Atlanta Humane Society, particularly among the 20’s – 40’s age range group. The name of the junior board was designated as 1873, the year the Atlanta Humane Society was founded.

The 1873 Society Club has chosen to provide financial support to the Atlanta Humane Society’s Spay/Neuter Program. All funds raised in 2013 will be dedicated to this tremendous cause. The 1873 Society Club hosts an annual formal event each year—The Humane Event—as well as monthly fundraising activities in the community.

For additional information about becoming involved with the 1873 Society Club, please email us at 1873SocietyClub@AtlantaHumane.org.
